One of the coolest applications of infrared technology is infrared photography. The first thing that comes to mind is breaking news on CNN showing military aircraft arcing long bright shots over an enemy, followed by subsequent explosions that light up the entire frame. Well there’s more to infrared photography than killing! You can also see the use of infrared photography in nature documentaries. Previously, it would have been impossible to capture the lives of lions and elephants after dark. Now we can see scenes of lions lunging at a small elephant while it drinks in the peaceful night. Alright, so maybe infrared photography is all about killing
